QuestAdobe strives to reinvigorate adobe construction, education, and restoration in northern New Mexico by supplying adobe bricks and engaging with the community.
Our Story
Keaton Karvas moved to Taos on his 20th birthday after growing up in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Starting his career in construction, he soon was drawn to adobe building through exposure to plastering and classes at UNM-Taos construction technology program. Over the years, he further and further integrated adobe into his daily life: building small adobe projects at Sangre de Cristo Youth Ranch, becoming a certified adobe mason through the Earthbuilders Guild, teaching adobe and shop at Vista Grande Highschool, and remodeling an adobe home in Talpa, New Mexico.
After building his growing family an adobe home in Lama, New Mexico over the course of a few years, he has now decided to pursue his passion of adobe brick manufacturing and adobe education in his backyard. That project is QuestAdobe.
