QuestAdobe

Well, after so much delay, QuestAdobe has finally put bricks down.

This has been a long time coming. I have a solid source of sand and clay, making wonderful bricks. I have a great mixer that makes 9 bricks a mix. Not a lot, but enough to get production up and running. One thing I’ve already figured out is that one more person is very necessary for a smooth system. I will be getting some help this weekend to really push production for a small room addition.

Luckily, I already had some help this Friday. The Sangre de Cristo Youth Ranch from down the hill came up and we had a big adobe party. Lots of bricks made, lots of mud thrown around, and a whole batch of kids learned the beauty of adobe brick making and construction.
